About
DiskoStick is a London-based DJ, broadcaster and producer with over thirty years of professional experience across live events, television, radio and music production.
The visual identity — waistcoat on bare skin, baseball cap — is deliberately understated. It is not costume, not spectacle. It is simply someone who has stopped hiding, doing what they do best.
DiskoStick performs live re-edits as a constant part of every set — combining stems from different recordings in real time to create combinations that exist only in that room, on that night. Every performance is, in that sense, an exclusive.
This signature emerged through DiscoExposed, a performance art project exhibited at the London Contemporary Art Show, Hoxton 2026, and is now the permanent foundation of every DiskoStick performance.
Music
DiskoStick plays disco. Not as nostalgia, but as a living musical language that remains one of the most joyful, inclusive and dancefloor-functional forms ever created.
Rooted in the golden era of disco, Philly soul and Salsoul, reimagined through contemporary rework culture. The sound is warm, groove-focused and broadly accessible — it makes people dance.
Live re-edits are a constant part of every set: vocals from one recording placed over basslines from another, melodies layered over a different groove, original percussion added live in response to the room.

DiskoStick performs in two formats, agreed at booking stage to suit the venue, audience and context. There are no surprises — the conversation about format is always had openly.

The Art Project
A DJ-led performance confronting the tension between public image and private truth — between what is performed and what is present. Using a consistent symbolic framework of mirrored mask, formal tailoring and exposed form, DiscoExposed examines how identity is constructed, stabilised and legitimised within contemporary culture.
Now complete as a body of work. Available for exhibition, cultural programming and gallery contexts.
